EVANGELISM MINISTRY - KWADASO AGRIC DISTRICT

The Church of Pentecost Kwadaso Agric District has the call and vision for reaching out to the lost, including children, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This has emphasized the need to raise all categories of people and prepare them for ministry, leading to the creation of departments for the Youth, Women, Men, and more—each contributing to the growth of the church.

The Children’s Ministry was established in August 2002 to supervise and oversee all activities related to children’s spiritual growth and development. The ministry is managed by a National Children’s Ministries Committee, comprising the National Director and Regional Directors.

Over the years, leadership transitions have strengthened the ministry. On November 11, 2002, the late Rev. W. W. Dontoh confirmed the appointment of Rev. E. E. K. Agbi as the first National Children’s Ministry Director. After 12 years of dedicated service (2002–2014), he was succeeded by Rev. Dr. Mark Akwasi Okyere-Kessie, who led the ministry from 2014 to 2022. The current National Director is Rev. Mrs. Wilson-Marfo, supported by 24 hardworking Regional Directors.

The Children’s Ministry is actively operating in all 24 regions of the church, covering 235 districts and reaching 3,620 churches nationwide. The ministry proudly serves 87,294 boys, and 102,892 girls, and has a total membership of 190,980, supported by 12,612 mentors and workers.

Between June 2019 and June 2021, the ministry expanded into 910 new churches, increasing total membership by 8,980 boys and welcoming 3,408 new mentors/workers. The mentor-to-child ratio improved from 1 mentor per 19 children (2019) to 1 mentor per 15 children (2021), reflecting the ministry’s commitment to effective discipleship and spiritual growth among children.
